Whoever said the power of the pen is mightier than a sword, has obviously not lived to write about it.
So pretty much,I have not been fulfilling my promise to keep you posted on my book progress. My summer full of reading is not going as smoothly as planned.HA!!!!! Then again, when does life ever go smoothly?? My days have become bombarded with Linear Equations and other math things.. not exactly how I envisioned my summer. No tanning for me.. the closes thing I am doing is TANgent questions. I don't think I will burn from that. It's a pity, but what can ya do?
To fill you in, I have been taking a Math class this past month, (puke)! Now for people who do not know me, I am NOT a math kind of person. I would rather spend my days eating worms than doing math. YUM YUM YUM! (sarcasm)
The funny thing is, is that I am receiving good marks in this class. (Not that I am a bad student). I just have never been one to have high marks in mathematic subjects. GO ME! Talk about irony hey?
Moving on, because frankly I don't want to waste my breath talking about math.(puke).
BOOKS. Okay so I have gotten a start on my Summer Reading, and so far have done decently well. I have read Stone Angel, by Margaret Laurence. This book fascinates me because each character she has created is vivid and has so many sides, it really makes you think about the life that you lead. Books have the ability to do that, it is amazing, the power of the right words is a great thing. With the generation we are living in, words and language is changing. Society doesn't read anymore. With social networks like Facebook and Twitter, how are people going to learn about the world we live in. (Now don't get me wrong, I have a Facebook) But what really is the point? I would rather write and express myself so other people can take what I say and THINK about it rather than looking at pictures of people they barely know, and learning nothing.Knowledge is something people don't always seek, and it is a shame.
Hagar has touched me, in an unexpected way. She has made me THINK about what I want from this life. And Hagar Shipley doesn't even exist, the power of Margaret Laurence's words was able to take a person's mind on a trip and caused it to think about life in a different perspective by placing Hagar as a teacher. I don't know if she meant to do that, but none the less, I am grateful.
If you have not read The Stone Angel, please pick it up and read it. If you can sincerely look past the story and into the words, there is definetley something there to learn.
You can learn alot from a book, you just have to find the right words to learn from.
If you have any book suggestions, email me at kaleahbilinski@shaw.ca
So with that note, I bid a farewell! ( For now, or at least another couple months.. lol) I promise not to keep you waiting this time!!

Let the Summer Roller Coaster Begin!
Grade eleven is coming to a close,as I only have one final left.. BIOLOGY (duh duh duh). :)
As one year closes, preparation for the next one begins.... ALREADY.Over the course of the next two months I will be submerged in books! Not just any books, I will be reading history and literature this summer. Not exactly my first choice for reading, except literature. I like literature. But I think this whole summer will be an unreal experience. Now to clarify, I am part of the HSTP, set up at my school, Centennial. So ALL of us, have to read a non-fiction,fiction, two magazines and watch films In November we are off to Belgium and France for 2 and a half weeks of European bliss. SIGH! As well I have enrolled in AP English for next year, which I also have to read 3 different books for.. Yaya! . Now I know there are people cringing at this right now... DANI! (She HATES books, and works at !ndigo..lucky sucker) But being the person I am, I have decided to record my progress on here as I make my way through the Historical and the Classical books. Aren't I nice? lol
As well my summer is going to include many other things other than BOOKS, as I will be working to at my new job at The Beadhive! I have been working there for a little under a week( Okay 3 shifts). But already I feel like I have learnt ALOT about beading.. not beaTing. hahaha I now know what an O ring is, and crimpers and bead tips. LMAO! GO ME! So if anyone needs jewlery fixed or made... wink wink.
Anyways, I hope EVERYONE has a great summer, and next time I see some of these people, we are going to be SENIORS...yikes. It has been in the LONG time coming though! :)

Sometimes Songs Say it Best
Isn't it kind of funny, how music can play such a part in our lives? When we are feeling down, the perfect song just somehow appears in the brain and just explains to the world in full detail how you are feeling at this very second.Well I don't know if it happens to everyone else, all I know is that it does for me. For me being a dancer, music has always been a HUGE part to me. Music has been a great way for me to indirectly express myself, and for that reason that is why I LOVE IT! Today, Daniel Powter and his oldie "Bad Day"just struck a chord, as I finally listened to what he was saying. (I don't listen to words, in case you are wondering). The melody and beat is what mainly attract me to a song. The lyrics come second last, so it could be swearing till all get out and I would not hear it till I got annoyed with the song. Point is whether or not I am rocking to Cher's "Believe","Turn Back Time", "Alive Again" or ANY of her songs; or crying to Josh Groban's "You Raise Me Up". Music has that place in our hearts where we let the music just speak for ourselves.(By the way, if you don't listen to Cher.. DO IT)Best artist of all time! Don't let the plastic surgery get in the way, she really knows how to do her thing. AMAZING stuff I tell ya.
Personally things have been crazy over here,as things are slowly settling back down to normal. The weekend before last I was in Humboldt, competing at the On Stage Dance Competition. We did very well, and I am satisfied with the job we did. On that note, we are finally beginning to rehearse for our Gala, June 13th(Book early to avoid dissapointment). :) This is not only the most fun time of year, it is also the most stressful. Between drilling dances and glittery costumes, there is also the Academic side to this part of year.
Finals are creeping up( I know you are saying "Oh its only April", well SNAP out of it!!!! Its close to the big Day(s). It's just like waiting for Christmas Day at the North Pole.( Bad Example.. I KNOW).lol. Between now and then I have to REALLY figure out what is the difference between Eukaryotic Cells and Prokaryotic Cells. Because frankly, I am just zoned out in the Bio compartment right now.
Anyways, I am off for the night, please email me with comments or topics. kaleahbilinski@shaw.ca and please enjoy my Craig Ferguson video of the week. It is an interview with Robin William. It is sure to make you laugh or smile at least. I know my stomach hurts from laughing.

ps. Craig Ferguson definetly has the uncanny abilities to make people laugh and entertained. AWESOME!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cwdOXR4L2o

Kaleah Brynn Blog-inski
Drum roll please!
Kaleah has finally made a blog! *gasp Settle down settle down, don't get scared, it's a nice blog! Teheeehee! I am super pumped about this because I have always wanted a blog, to write what I want, when I want. But I've been a tad lazy! I know shame on me, as I am not usually the lazy type. Well its all about to change folks, cuz I am writing on this thing no matter what! (Dramatic Music). Haha!
Anywho there is a couple things I need to mention in this introductory blog
A) Feel free to read this thing, its free. ( Probably the only thing that is free these days.) Gas is like 92.9, like seriously people come on. There's enough methane in this world for us to be making our own gas for our cars. Who needs the stuff costing almost a buck??? ;)
B) I want to give a shout out to Chris, who had a blog before the whole world did. Her blog gave me the idea to make one myself, so I can write what I want when I want.
C) My tailbone is hurting right now.. ....sorry you didn't need to know that. But I had to put it out there. Ps. if you are wondering why it hurts, its called dance. Blahhh
D)I am super pumped for David Letterman tonight, because my favorite Scottish Cheeky monkey, Craig Ferguson is on the show!!!!! I KNOW! Like seriously watch one episode of The Late Late Show, and you will be hooked. It is highly addicting, just like chocolate! Mmmm! LOL!
Haha this is probably the most random thing ever, and you are probably wondering what the heck I am talking about. Well let me update you........................................................ there you go, you are all caught up. This blog is pretty much about nothing. So you haven't missed much! Hehe!
Anywho, feel free to email me kaleahbilinski@shaw.ca with feedback or whatever you want to talk about.
Ciao,
